Slide 3: The bar graph shows the number of monthly HPS cases, distinguished by area of occurrence, Four Corners versus non-Four Corners (the Four Corners include the states Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah). In 1993, 33 of 48 cases (69%) occurred in the Four Corners area. The percentage of cases from the Four Corners dropped to a low of 13% in 1995, then rose rose back up to 57% in 2000.
