Contracts
Many of the seasonal, routine services required to keep Pomona Lake clean, safe and enjoyable are provided by service contractors. Pomona Lake has 15 service contracts for providing various services such as custodial services, mowing, refuse collection, park attendant duties, and law enforcement.
Larger multi-year contracts are issued by the Kansas City District contracting office. Other contracts are issued and administered by the Pomona Project Office including contracts for multi-year, seasonal, and miscellaneous services performed on an "as needed" basis.
Contractors may quote or bid on service contracts by registering with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) which will register them with all government agencies and become part of the procurement process. As of March 31, 1998 all contractors who wish to conduct business with a DoD Agency must register their company with CCR. The CCR form is available on CCR’s website. To access and register on the Central Contractor Registration Homepage, the internet address is: http://ccr.gov
Some of the smaller contracts issued from the Pomona Project Office are below the micro-purchase threshold ($2,500) and are exempt from the CCR registration requirement. These contracts are usually for smaller projects with a 30 day or less completion date. Payment is usually made with a Government Credit Card, and requires the contractor to be capable of accepting credit card payment. Information on becoming credit card capable is available from the Pomona Project Office or from your financial institution.
Persons interested in bidding on the various service contracts at Pomona Lake should make inquires at the Pomona Lake Information Center, call 785-453-2201, or contact us at Pomona@nwk02.usace.army.mil
