Lake Facts

The Pomona water system is formed from the 110-Mile Creek and 2 tributary creeks, Dragoon and Valley Brook. As the 3 creeks come together and form the lake, they combine into 110-Mile flows down the outlet channel where it meets the Marais des Cygnes River approximately 8 miles downstream. The Marais des Cygnes flows southeast into Missouri where it joins with the Little Osage River in Bates County. At this junction, the Little Osage and Marais des Cygnes form the Osage River where it empties into Harry S. Truman Dam and Reservoir.
