Camping
Eleven campgrounds are conveniently located around Stockton Lake. Eight are managed by the Corps of Engineers (Cedar Ridge, Crabtree Cove, Hawker Point, Masters, Orleans Trail North, Orleans Trail South, Ruark Bluff East, and Ruark Bluff West); two are operated by marina concessionaires (Orleans Trail Marina and Mutton Creek Marina); and one is operated by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (Stockton State Park).
The following information pertains only to campgrounds managed by the Corps of Engineers. Information about the Marina operated campgrounds can be obtained by phoning the Orleans Trail Marina (417-276-5161), or the Mutton Creek Marina (417-995-3355). Information about the MO Department of Natural Resources can be obtained by phoning Stockton State Park (417-276-4259).
Camping fees are charged for camping on Stockton Lake. The amount of the fee is based on the type of facilities provided.
Campgrounds contain campsites with lantern hanging posts, picnic tables, and fire rings. Shower buildings, sanitary dump stations, and water hydrants are located in most parks.
Entrance stations are located at all Corps campgrounds with the exception of the Orleans Trail North Campground. Park Rangers and Cedar/Dade County Sheriff’s Deputies routinely patrol all campgrounds.
Campsites can be reserved through the National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS) by phone (1-877-444-6777) or via the internet at http://www.recreation.gov. Reservations must be made 3 days in advance.
