Never swim alone! This is the first and most important rule when swimming. First find a friend and then find a safe swimming place.

The safest places to swim at Wilson Lake are designated swimming beaches. There are two designated swimming beaches in Corps managed areas at Wilson Lake.

The Minooka Park beach includes a buoyed swimming area, change houses, foot shower and vault toilets.  There is no day use fee charged at the Corps of Engineers swimming beaches here at Wilson Lake.  The Lucas Park Beach includes a buoyed swimming area, change houses, foot shower and vault toilets.

Wilson State Park includes a buoyed swimming area and the Otoe Park Area has a buoyed swimming area, pit toilets and a picnic area.  These areas are open from 6:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

We hope you enjoy your visit to Wilson Lake, and please, remember to keep water safety in mind at all times.
