Recreation Facilities and Accessibility
In 1989, the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks leased 12,880 acres of land and water at Hillsdale Lake to develop it as a State Park and Wildlife Area. Today, the Hillsdale Lake State Park provides recreation opportunities for many types of outdoor activities. Recreation facilities include campgrounds , beaches, boat ramps, shelter houses, fishing access, parking lots, and an equestrian camping area and trail. The construction of recreation facilities is in compliance with Americans With Disabilities Act Guidelines. Restrooms were designed for full accessibility.
