The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Smithville Lake holds an annual duck blind drawing the last Saturday in September. This drawing is for Men and Women 16 years of age or older who wish to obtain a permit to put a duck blind on Smithville lake. The blind drawing begins at 9:00am on September 26, 2009 at the Jerry Litton Visitor’s Center. Those attending who wish to put in for a blind must have their driver’s license or photo I.D. as well as their 2009 duck stampand migratory bird permit. Each participant will be asked to display these before receiving an application for a blind.
