Many of the items for sale are inspired by the collections or the buildings of the Library. In Books From and Books About the Library of Congress, you can buy a copy of "Jefferson's Legacy: A Brief History of the Library of Congress" or the coffee-table volume "The Library of Congress: The Art and Architecture of the Thomas Jefferson Building." The 1897 Jefferson Building is one of the most beautiful public buildings in America, and this richly illustrated volume captures its spaces in all their magnificence. Other interesting Library publications are available, including the Library of Congress Civil War Desk Reference Book.

If you love baseball, then you must have "Baseball's Book of Firsts." Or perhaps a Library of Congress baseball. The Library holds an extraordinary collection of early baseball cards, viewable online in "Baseball Cards: 1887-1914."
