Corps of Engineers Parks

Fees are charged at all Corps of Engineers camping areas at Rathbun Lake. The camping areas are Island View, Rolling Cove, Bridge View, Prairie Ridge, and Buck Creek.

Fees are also charged at Corps of Engineers boat ramps including ramps located at marinas and the swimming beaches. An honor vault is located at the beaches and boat ramps for daily visits. When purchasing a camping permit in Corps areas, a camper pass for ramps and beaches will also be issued. An annual non-transferable pass may be purchased at the Rathbun Lake Information Center or park attendant booths (in season) for persons not camping at Corps areas. There is a $30.00 fee per pass that is good at all Corps managed swimming beaches and boat ramps nationwide.

America The Beautiful Pass

A national pass program was authorized by the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act of 2004, that provides access to, and use of, Federal Recreation Lands. The program launched in January 2007, is called the America the Beautiful Pass program. The US Army Corps of Engineers will honor but will not issue the Senior Pass and Access Pass portions of the America The Beautiful Pass program. The Senior Pass will allow a visitor 62 years of age or older a 50% reduction on most user fees. The Access Pass will allow the same discount for a visitor that is permanently disabled at any age. Since proof of eligibility will be required, both passes must be applied for in person.

Effective January 1, 2007 the Golden Age Pass and Golden Access Pass will no longer be issued. The new America the Beautiful Pass (Senior Pass /Access Pass) will replace the Golden Age/ Access Passes. Golden Age/ Access Passes issued before January 1, 2007 will continue to be honored.
