Picnicking

There are many places for visitors to picnic at Clinton Lake. Picnic sites are available in parks operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the State Park and the City of Lawrence.

The Corps of Engineers’ Overlook, Bloomington East and Rockhaven Parks each have picnic tables available for picnicking. We ask picnickers not to use campsite picnic tables unless they are camping overnight at that campsite. The Overlook and Bloomington East Parks both have picnic shelters available on a first come – first served basis, or these shelters may be reserved by calling the National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS) at 877-444-6777. Reservation times for these shelters are from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. at a cost of $35.00.
