Volunteer Opportunities
The US Army Corps of Engineers at Clinton Lake encourages everyone to take pride in the Nation’s natural and cultural resources. You can volunteer to do work which would not otherwise be done without your help and perform a valuable service to the Corps of Engineers and the general public.
Some projects completed in the past have included trail maintenance, foot bridges for the trails, work on the campground newsletter, construction and maintenance of various nesting boxes, brochures, evening program presentations, and facility maintenance, just to mention a few.
Volunteer jobs range from small one-day projects to long-term projects, which may require special skills. The park manager will review volunteer’s interests, skills, and abilities, and try to match them with a job that fits their skill level and time requirements.
The reasons people do volunteer work are numerous, and the rewards take many forms. People of all ages enjoy being out of doors and working with the professional ranger staff. But most of all, people volunteer because they enjoy doing work, without monetary compensation, for the benefit of others.
