Summary of Missouri's Work as Part of the Initiative (2004-2005):
Missouri completed planning and began work on integrating infant/toddler specific material into their quality rating system, their professional development system, and a public awareness campaign. They also initiated efforts to upgrade their licensing requirements.

Missouri's Child Care and Development Fund Quality Infant/Toddler Earmark:

FY 2006: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Earmark is $1,905,188.

FY 2004: The Federal CCDF Quality Infant and Toddler Earmark was $1,945,700.

The funds are used in the following ways to enhance the Missouri infant and toddler child care system (additional funds may be used to support these activities):

  • To increase the reimbursement rate for providers of infant and toddler care.

*Missouri reported this use of the earmark funds in both the FY 2004 and the FY 2006 plan.
