Association of Moving Image Archivists The annual AMIA conference offers opportunities for archivists and experts in moving image preservation to meet and learn from one another. Highlights on the topic of preservation include the AMIA Preservation Committee meeting as well as the Reel Thing, a program where examples of works preserved are screened and the techniques and processes employed are discussed.

Archimedia The European Training Network for the Promotion of Cinema Heritage runs a training program and conferences on European film heritage to all nationals of member states of the European Union, European Economic Area and Eureka Audiovisual.

Archives Association of British Columbia "BC Archival Education and Advisory Service" Offers advisory and educational services for archives and archivists in British Columbia (Canada).

Association for Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC) "Education and Training in Audiovisual Archiving and Preservation" Listing of training opportunities, courses, discussion lists and organizations with an emphasis on recorded sound.

Association of Moving Image Archivists AMIA offers workshops at its annual meetings allowing budding archivists to develop their preservation knowledge. AMIA also has a competitive scholarship and fellowship program to support the education of new moving image archivists.

FIAF Summer School Training (Féderation Internationale des Archives du Film) An international organization of Film Archives, which seeks to ensure the preservation and exhibition of the world’s cinema heritage. Publishes a quarterly journal, provides training for international archival staff via a summer school program, and hosts International conferences and co-hosts an annual technical symposia.

George Eastman House, L. Jeffrey Selznick School of Film Preservation (USA) The first school in North America to teach the restoration, preservation, and archiving of motion pictures.

Independent Media Arts Preservation Workshops IMAP, a media arts advocacy and education organization, offers workshops in media preservation and cataloging.
