M.A. Degree Program
This two-year course of study trains future professionals to manage preservation-level collections of film, video, new media, and other types of digital works. Orphan Film Symposium 6
NYU Cinema Studies hosted the 6th biannual symposium on the preservation, archiving, study and creative use of orphan films. The symposium took place March 26–29, 2008 at the NYU Cantor Film Center.

Helen Hill Award
To honor the legacy of filmmaker, film educator, animator, and Columbia, SC native Helen Hill, the award will support innovative independent filmmakers. This year the award will help fund its recipient to attend the 6th Orphan Film Symposium, March 26–29, 2008, in New York City.
