Electrical Design Section
What We Do:
The Electrical Design Section serves the Portland District by providing design support for electrical features of large Civil Works projects, such as flood control dams, river navigation structures, powerhouses, fish hatcheries, and fish bypass facilities along the Lower Columbia River, in the Willamette River Basin and in the Rogue Valley. In addition, we provide engineering support to the District's operating Projects with regard to new installations or modifications of existing electrical systems. Our responsibilities include the following:
- Electrical Design Services
- Electrical Consulting Services
- Field/Site Investigations
- Engineering During Construction
- Dam Safety Inspections and Evaluations of existing District Projects
- Electrical Systems Startup and Commissioning
- Regional Technical Expertise in Automated Controls
