Demopolis Lake: Camping



Foscue Creek Campground

 (Open Year Round)

Foscue Creek campground south of the confluence of the Black Warrior and Tombigbee Rivers.  Located in Demopolis, Alabama, in the heart of the Black Belt Prairie, this campground has 54 campsites, all of which are equipped with electric (50 AMP) and water hookups, impact pad, picnic table, lantern holder, and fire ring with grill..  In addition to these amenities campsites 1-10 and 16-54 also provide sewer hookups.  Campsites are spacious, private and located near or close to the water. Shower/restroom facilities are conveniently located in the park along with the following amenities: dump station, coin-operated laundry, playgrounds, walking trail, park attendant,  picnic shelters, courtesy dock, and boat ramp with security lighting.

Important Information:

The gate opens at 6:00 a.m. and closes at 10:00 p.m. Single family sites, with hook-ups, accommodate one RV and/or any number of tents that can fit on the impact pad. We require that all pets remain leashed or penned at all times for your safety and theirs. Alcohol is prohibited.

  • Forkland Campground

    (Open Year Round)

    Forkland Park campground is situated on a high point of land forested with a Pine/Hardwood  mix with plenty of shade.  This campground has 42 campsites with electrical (30 AMP) and water hookups, impact pad, picnic table, lantern holder, and fire ring with grill. Campsites are spacious, private and located near or close to the water.  A shower/restroom facility is conveniently located in the park along with the following amenities: dump station, coin-operated laundry, playgrounds, park attendant,  picnic shelters, courtesy dock, and boat ramp with security lighting.

    The campsites available here are primitive sites which include picnic table, lantern holder, and fire ring.  Other Day Use facilities include a Drinking Water, Boat Ramp & Flush toilets.

    Important Information:

    Camp in designated areas only.  No open fires or leave them unattended.  No off road vehicles.  Quiet hours between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
