Cottage Grove Dam and Reservoir

Cottage Grove Lake Project, on the Coast Fork of the Willamette River about 5 miles south of Cottage Grove, is one of 13 multi-purpose water projects operated by the Corps of Engineers in the Willamette Valley.  Cottage Grove dam provides flood control, irrigation, navigation, improved downstream water quality, and water-related recreation opportunities.  To learn more about recreation at Cottage Grove Lake, click here.

Cottage Grove dam, an earthfill dam with a concrete spillway, impounds 33,000 acre-feet of water at full pool. The dam was completed in 1942 at a cost of $3.3 million.
