This letter is to remind you of the importance of correcting and resubmitting any child support data reported for FY 2003 that the Office of Child Support Enforcement (OCSE) determined to be incomplete or unreliable. For several states, corrected FY 2003 data are necessary to compute the FY 2004 paternity establishment percentage (PEP) or to enable a state to show improvement in performance between FY 2003 and FY 2004. State IV-D agencies have been reporting child support collections and expenditures using two new reporting forms - Form OCSE-34A and Form OCSE-396A - since October 1, 1998. In response to comments solicited through a Federal Register notice, we will shortly be reissuing the reporting instructions for these forms, including some minor rewording that will clarify, but not alter, existing instructions. This letter is to inform you that the Statistical Report OCSE-Local 2 will no longer be required. OMB approval expires June 30, 1992. OCSE has decided not to continue use of the form. While the intent of this form was to collect information from each large city, the data has not been representative of the services being provided in the cities. |
