In February 2006, Congress passed the Deficit Reduction Act (DRA) of 2005 amending Section 452 of the Social Security Act to authorize comparisons of information concerning individuals owing past-due child support with information maintained by insurers (or their agents) concerning insurance claims, settlements, awards, and payments.

The Child Access and Visitation Grants: State/jurisdiction Profiles for FY 2006 is the annual data report for the Access and Visitation grant. The data is published yearly as required by regulation. It is the report of activities of the 54 States and Jurisdictions using AV funds.

The OCSE has developed five computer-based and web-based training courses targeted for Tribal child support enforcement caseworkers and other interested individuals. The training is organized around procedures in the final rule for Tribal Child Support Enforcement Programs published in the Federal Register on March 30, 2004 (69FR 16638) implementing section 455(f) of the Social Security Act. The five courses are Orientation; Locate; Paternity Establishment; Enforcement; and Intergovernmental Cases.
