How to Apply

What Is the Application and Degree Process?

Decision: Establish your individual set of goals for earning an advanced degree in water resources planning and management. If you already have a Master's degree you may want to check with your university of choice to determine whether or not a doctoral option is viable.

Discussion: Review your decision with your supervisor, and secure agency approval to support necessary funding and time away from your official duties.

Application: Apply to your university of choice, making sure that you have met the normal admission requirements.

Acceptance:Work with your advisor to develop and identify the following:

  • possible additional preparation needed
  • credits already obtained through previous coursework and lifetime experience
  • courses to be taken at the university
  • courses to be taken from other universities, to be used as transfer credits
