EBIS Log
On Information and Procedures
You may use
the EBIS to conduct benefits transactions or view personal information. Access to EBIS is located on the World Wide Web at: http://www.dodea.edu/offices/hr/oea
The first time
you access the EBIS, you must create a User-ID and Password on the
Point of Entry (POE) screen. Complete log on instructions with SAMPLE
Screens can be found at: http://www.dodea.edu/offices/hr/oea/documents/DoDEAEBISInstructions.pdf
For security
purposes, you will be required to input your Social Security Number
Date of Birth, Service Computation Date for Leave, (SCD-Leave),
Pay Plan, Pay Grade, and Pay Step. You can obtain this information
from your leave and earnings statement or most recent SF-50. After
you enter this information, click on "submit."
Once the system
verifies this information, you will create a User-ID and Password.
Upon acceptance, the system will send you back to the "Login"
page where you will enter the new User-ID and Password, and click
on "Submit."
Next click
on the Employee Benefits Information System button. You will be
required to create a six-digit PIN in EBIS to conduct your benefits
transactions or view personal information. After the PIN is created,
you will enter your SSN and PIN number where requested.
If you have
questions or problems creating the User-ID or Password on the Point
of Entry screen or already created one but forgot it, you should
contact FAIM at EBIS@hq.dodea.edu
for assistance. If you have questions concerning selections within
the EBIS, contact your local personnel representative.
Separated employees
are not able to use EBIS to obtain information. However, prior employees
can receive information about "Temporary Continuation of Coverage
(TCC) under FEHB" by calling your local benefits/personnel
representative. If you desire to continue your health (FEHB) coverage
after separation from Federal civilian employment, you will need
to know this information.
