Fire Equipment

The National Interagency Incident Communications Division (NIICD) is a partnership between the US Forest Service and the Department of the Interior's agencies located at NIFC. The NIICD provides portable emergency communications, technical training, and remote sensing imagery by aircraft. Wildland fire suppression is the major focus, but this communication equipment was utilized on hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, oil spills, and other man-made and natural disasters.
