Kids on the Move
Despite the numerous signs that Americans today are less involved in their communities than they once were, it's vital that we encourage and support the kind of selfless contributions young people make in their local communities everyday.
Recently, I met with students from Dorchester's Grover Cleveland Middle School. The program is a partnership with the Boston Celtics, Southwest Airlines, and the Boston Public Middle Schools, and encourages students to develop community service projects that have a positive impact.
Massachusetts is stronger because of the service these students have given to their communities. They'll no doubt inspire more students across the state to come off the sidelines and get involved.
I'd like to introduce you to some kids that inspire me.
