Advisory Council

The FBCI Task-Force included a number of recommendations to the Governor in its final address of 2004. One of the recommendations was to establish a permanent faith-based and community initiatives office and an advisory council. In September 2004, Administrative Order 221 was issued to create this office and council.

Two primary responsibilities that the FBCI Advisory Council has are to advise the Office and the Governor on policies and practice to increase the contribution of faith-based and community organizations, and to promote service partnerships between faith, community and governmental entities.
