Parents and Family

Stay in the know and in the loop

At NC State, we believe parents and families are an important part of the university family. After all, no one knows our students better than you.

We also know that when parents are informed, students benefit. Your son or daughter will continue to seek your advice and guidance about college life (and not just when they need money). You’ll likely get calls about grades, input about getting an internship, or roommate issues. We want you to be an informed resource when your son or daughter calls—so you can help them help themselves. That’s why NC State created the Office of Parents & Families Services

The Office of Parents & Families Services provides programs and services designed to keep you informed about and connected to NC State—and your student.

  • Parents & Families Association works to keep families involved in campus life and informed about important student issues. Members have access to valuable programs and services designed to help you help your student.
  • Important Dates don’t miss an important event, game, or deadline.
  • Newsletters deliver a regular digest of helpful information regarding important events and deadlines you won’t want to miss, the line-up of regular Webcast topics, conversation starters to stay in touch with your son or daughter, services available to students (and you) and many other helpful resources available to NC State parents.
  • Programs and Events like Parents' Orientation, Parents and Families Weekend, are offered throughout the year for parents. Check back at this site often to plan your visit to campus.
  • Services for parents keep you connected and informed.
