October 31, 2008 Seniors Elise Kapp (Yarmouth Port, Mass.) and Pat Benson (Essex, Vt.) have been named TCCC Senior Scholar Athletes of the Year for women's and men's soccer, respectively. Kapp also earned a nod to the All-TCCC Women's Soccer Second Team. Earning Honorable Mention nods were senior Doug Currie (Harvard, Mass.) and junior Eileen Endyke (Derry, N.H.).

Freshman Abby Wills (Uxbridge, Mass.) scored the game-winner on a breakaway in the 65th minute. The Chargers improved their TCCC record to 6-5, and 7-7-2 overall, while the Colonels drop to 6-4-1 in the TCCC and 9-5-2 overall.

NEW LONDON, N.H. October 15, 2008 The Fighting Scots of Gordon handed the Chargers a tough, 2-0 loss on Wednesday afternoon. Both goals of the match came from Gordon senior, Amanda Whittet (Rye, N.H.), who found the back of the net on two head balls off corner kicks in the first half.

October 13 - New England College's Colby Grant (Lynn, Mass.) chipped in a pass from Debbie Lyons (Wilmington, Mass.) 6:43 into the first overtime to lift the Pilgrims past the visiting Colby-Sawyer College Chargers 1-0 in women's soccer action. The win evens the Pilgrims' overall record at 6-6-1 and improves them to 4-3-1 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC.). The loss drops the Chargers to 5-6-2 overall and evens their TCCC record at 4-4-0.

The Chargers scored early and never looked back as they moved three points ahead of the Golden Bears in the standings. Colby-Sawyer freshman Andi Logan (Elliot, Maine) netted her first collegiate goal as she headed a corner kick cross from Laura Sansoucie (Haverhill, Mass.) into the corner of the goal in the 8th minute of play.

LaChance was named as the women's tennis Player of the Week. Allen was also given the nod as TCCC Rookie of the Week for women's soccer. Freshman Nicole Duarte (Windham, N.H.) was named TCCC Volleyball Rookie of the Week.
