NOAA Teachers in the Air, Barney Peterson, an elementary school teacher from Washington, and Dana Tomlinson, an elementary school teacher from California, flew aboard NOAA aircraft 42 P-3 Turbo-Prop, "Kermit," as the crew gathered data to better predict winter storms.
