Information for the Presidential Inauguration
UPDATE: INAUGURATION TICKETS
Due to the overwhelming number of requests for tickets received, Congressman Hirono’s office is no longer able to accept requests for tickets to the Swearing-In Ceremony for President-elect Barack Obama. If you have already submitted a request, Congresswoman Hirono’s office will contact you regarding the status of your ticket request.
The official body planning the Swearing-In Ceremony is the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies (JCCIC). The committee will distribute Inauguration tickets to the congressional offices in early January.
The Inauguration of the President will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 on the grounds of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C.
