GPOExpressSM Card Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can I use the GPOExpressSM card to charge my jobs?
A. No. The GPOExpressSM card is simply an authorization card allowing your agency to be billed by GPO once the job is completed.

Q. Who controls the issuance of the card?
A.
The agency printing officer or individual who controls the agency printing budget will coordinate this process with GPO.

Q. Can more than one person be assigned to one card?
A.
No. For control purposes, each person must have their own card.

Q. Is there a set spending limit per card?
A.
For existing GPO customers the amount of spending per card can be limited by the agency printing officers or individual who controls the agency printing budget.  If limits are requested then they will be set per transaction.  For new GPO customers, the amount will be determined by agreement between GPO and the agency printing officers or individuals who control the agency printing budget.

Q. I’m new to our agency and don’t know who is our printing officer or individual who controls the card in our agency. How do I find out?
A.
Visit the GPO Contacts page and contact the appropriate GPO National Account Manager for your agency. One of them can assist you.

Q. Does FedEx Kinko'sSM offer an online estimator?
A.
Yes.

Q. Does FedEx Kinko'sSM offer online tracking of jobs?
A.
Not at this time, except if your item is shipped via FedEx® which can be tracked. To find out the status of your job, simply call the FedEx Kinko'sSM location where you submitted your job.

Q. Does FedEx Kinko'sSM offer locations which can handle classified documents?
A.
Not at this time.

Q. Will the card work at the self-service stations?
A.
Yes.

Q. Our agency does not use FedEx to ship. Can we use our UPS account to have items shipped from Kinko's?
A.
No. However, FedEx Kinko’sSM Government Solutions Program Manager, Brandon Hill, is willing to review your shipping requirements to ensure that shipping is provided to you in the most economical manner. Q. Do the cards have an expiration date?
A.
The card must be renewed each year by forwarding a new Form 3001 or SF-1, containing the upcoming year’s new requisition number, to GPO between August 15 and September 30.

Q. What do I do if I do not have a Billing Address Code (BAC)?
A.
A BAC will be assigned to you when you sign up.

Q. If FedEx Kinko'sSM promises a job by 10 a.m. and doesn't make the deadline, what happens?
A.
FedEx Kinko'sSM will make every effort to achieve the expectation associated with the customer turn around-time. Sometimes, equipment issues will arise and the branch will determine the best course of action including moving the job to another location.

Q. Can a FedEx Kinko'sSM manager deny a job due to existing workload?
A.
FedEx Kinko'sSM has a vast network of centers and resources at their fingertips for getting a job done. Should one branch be unable to take the job, the branch will check with the network to produce the work.

Q. Will you accept InDesign files for Mac?
A.
Yes. FedEx Kinko'sSM accepts InDesign files for both PC and Mac.

Q. What kind of guarantee can FedEx Kinko'sSM provide with regard to confidentiality?
A.
Standard operating procedures dictate that all centers and team members are to regard their customer's work with the highest level of sensitivity and confidentiality. During a team member's initial training, confidentiality is reinforced and cited as part of offering the best possible service to the customer..

Q. For security, can the card holder have a pin number so that someone who doesn't have a card can use an authorized card holder account?
A.
Yes, but for online ordering only.

Q. I am a contractor, how can I participate in this program?
A.
The 950-S is a single award term contract with FedEx Kinko'sSM. This contract begins January 13, 2006 and continues through January 12, of each year as contract options are exercised, with a final expiration date of January 12, 2011. Q. What is the role of the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP) in this process?
A.
FedEx Kinko'sSM will provide GPO digital deliverables of all publications produced under this contract that are of public interest. GPO will then distribute these documents to depository libraries electronically through the Internet or successor applications.

Q. Is a surcharge applicable?
A.
No. There will not be a GPO surcharge to any purchase made under this contract.

Q. If I am unsure how my job will turn out, can I get a proof?
A.
Yes.

Q. Does FedEx Kinko'sSM provide mailing services via the U.S. Postal Service?
A.
Yes.

Q. What happens if I have a problem with my print order or need assistance?
A.
If you are unable to contact the FedEx Kinko'sSM Center Manager, contact the GPOExpressSM Customer care at 1.866.654.6567.

Q. What happens if I need to speak to a GPO representative about an issue that can't be resolved by FedEx Kinko'sSM?
A.

Q. What do I do if my GPOExpressSM card is lost or stolen?
A.
Immediately call FedEx Kinko'sSM at 1.800.488.3705 and your account will be deactivated.

Q. Does FedEx Kinko'sSM use recycled paper?
A. Yes. FedEx Kinko'sSM continuously strives to increase the recycled content of the paper and wood products they purchase, and one of the latest additions is 100% post-consumer recycled color laser paper. The commodity white paper used in FedEx Kinko'sSM black and white copiers is made with a minimum of 30% post-consumer recycled fiber.
