Recycle Your Cell Phone. It's an Easy Call

The Plug-In To eCycling "Recycle Your Cell Phone. It's an Easy Call Campaign" was launched in January 2008 to encourage Americans to recycle their old cell phones, PDAs (personal digital assistants), cell phone batteries, chargers, and other accessories.

The campaign - a partnership between EPA, manufacturers, service providers, and retailers - promotes and provides easy ways for consumers to "drop off" or "mail in" their cell phones to be recycled. Recycling cell phones results in fewer materials needing to be mined and processed - meaning less air and water pollution, less energy consumption, and lower greenhouse gas emissions.
