|

Hello,
I am trying to install isis 3 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2. I have made the work1 directory and have also made the isis3 directory. This now contains the data and isis folders. I have tried to follow the instructions at this point where it says to:
ISISROOT=/work1/isis3/isis
export ISISROOT
After this I try to run the command,
. $ISISROOT/scripts/isis3Startup.sh
and I get the following error
bash: /work1/isis3/isis/scripts/isis3Startup.sh: No such file or directory
I have tried to follow the help that was provided for http://isis.astrogeology.usgs.gov/IsisSupport/viewtopic.php?t=1760&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=
but as of now have found their solution not working for my system.
Thank you for your help in advance.
Best,
Jon Kay |

Are you sure that /work1/isis3/isis is the complete path?
Could the complete path be /home/some-user-name/work1/isis3/isis?
Or /usr/local/work1/isis3/isis or something else?

Hello,
Thanks for the speedy reply.
No I am not sure. That had occurred to me before I posted but when I tried to adjust the ISISROOT to the new
/home/jon/work1/isis3
nothing happened. After I tried this command and typed in "set" and looked at what was listed next to ISISROOT it still said it was
ISISROOT=/work1/isis3/isis
So it acted like I was not successful in setting the new directory location.
I think this answers your question.
Thanks,
Jon |

If work1 is in your home directory, then the path would be /home/jon/work1/isis3/isis. If you are using bash, then you would use
Code: |
ISISROOT=/home/jon/work1/isis3/isis
export ISISROOT
. $ISISROOT/scripts/isis3Startup.sh |
If you are using the csh, you would use,
Code: |
setenv ISISROOT /home/jon/work1/isis3/isis
source $ISISROOT/scripts/isis3Startup.csh |
