Represented by EPA's National Risk Management Research Laboratory (NRMRL), the United States is leading a pilot study on Clean Products and Processes. The study’s purpose is to create an international forum for improving the common pollution landscape and sharing methods and technologies that make cleaner, sustainable products possible. Delegates work with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Committee. U.S./German Bilateral Agreement on Contaminated Waste
Computer-Aided Process Engineering Metal Finishing Facility Pollution Prevention Tool (CAPE-OPEN) Chemical process simulation is used in the metal finishing industry to select from various metal-finishing process options. The CAPE-OPEN pollution prevention tool is one option. The CAPE-OPEN project, funded by the European Union, defines a common application framework for computer-aided process engineering (CAPE). The CAPE-OPEN project provides a middleware standard for chemical process simulation component models. |
