Administration

Mission

To provide support to the Ecological Services Field Office Staff and to the public by ensuring that we interact, communicate, provide services, and educate. This is for the purpose of protecting the environment, and for the benefit of species in the southwest and around the world.

The Administrative Branch of the New Mexico Ecological Services Field Office (NMESFO) performs the various functions necessary to support the programs and services the field office provides. The programs include Endangered Species, Environmental Contaminants, Federal Activities, Partners for Fish and Wildlife, the Middle Rio Grande Bosque Initiative, and the San Juan Recovery Implementation Program. For example, the branch handles all personnel and staffing issues, including payroll. The branch also provides support in a number of areas including customer service, outreach, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), administrative record formulation and upkeep, correspondence, budget, purchasing, and travel. We handle all of the property, security, safety, and space management needs for the field office. We also oversee all of the grant agreements, cooperative agreements, and private lands agreements for the entire state of New Mexico that are applicable to NMESFO.

If you are interested in scheduling outreach opportunities, please contact us at: R2FWE_AL@fws.gov. You may also reach us at (505) 346-2525.
