Erie County Senior Services Connects Program Comes to Various Sites

Erie County Senior Services Connects Program visits neighborhood locations, connecting residents age 60 and older and/or their caregivers with the information and services available. A representative of Senior Services offers information about energy assistance programs, nutrition program, health insurance questions, caregiving issues, and at every Connects location, Erie County Senior Services issues their photo identification cards, the 62+ Card and the Complimentary Card for those 65 and older (entitled to reduced Metro bus/rail fares and other vendor discounts). Some locations may also include other partners such as: Catholic Health System, Consumer Fraud, WNY Osteoporosis, American Diabetes, National Fuel's Consumer Services, to name only a few. If you have questions, please call Heidi Monin with Erie County Department of Senior Services at 858-2022.

Seniors are encouraged to visit the Senior Services Connects Program site most convenient for them, to speak with the representatives, and to find out more about the many ways the Department can help in a variety of situations. The Erie County Department of Senior Services answers questions and concerns related to services and programs for older adults - call 858-8526 Monday-Friday during business hours. The photo identification cards are also available during business hours at the Rath Building offices.
