Season Dates

Refuge fishing areas are open in accordance with Minnesota season dates.  Anglers must possess a valid Minnesota fishing license and fish in accordance with all applicable state and refuge fishing regulations.

Special Conditions Fishing is permitted only in Twin Lakes, Mandy Lake and the Rice River.  Rice Lake is closed to fishing.Boats without motors or boats with electric motors are permitted on all fishing areas.  Vehicles must travel on established roads and park in designated parking areas.Overnight camping and open fires are prohibited.  The refuge is open for day use only.Ice fishing is permitted on Mandy Lake only.  Ice fishing shelters are permitted but must be removed from the ice at the end of each day.
