Thomas Haas - Research Scientist
Thomas Haas joined NREL in 2007 after completing his undergraduate degree and a research assistantship at the University of Wisconsin. While there, he worked with Prof. Marisa Otegui on the biochemical and microscopic characterization of internal membrane compartments and their associated enzymatic and structural proteins in plants. Tom brings to NREL his background of cellular and molecular plant biology along with interests in botany, scientific computing, and ethnobotany. He is currently working on structural issues related to thermochemical and biochemical biomass conversion.
