Description: The study described in this report focuses on an important feature of secondary schools: the mathematics curriculum. The study investigates how the structure of the high school curriculum influences the courses students take, how students' academic and social background characteristics are mapped onto their course choices, and ultimately how secondary school curriculum structure influences student achievement.
