Reading assignments for fourth-grade AI/AN students at high density schools lower than at low density schools; no difference seen at eighth grade

One of the learning factors explored through the survey was the number of pages of reading assigned in school and for homework to fourth- and eighth-graders each day.

Findings

  • Compared to their peers at low density schools, a smaller percentage of AI/AN fourth-graders at high density schools reported having more than 20 pages of assigned reading a day.
