Exposures Factor Handbook
The Exposure Factors Handbook provides a summary of the available statistical data on various factors used in assessing human exposure. This handbook provides data on standard factors to calculate human exposure to toxic chemicals. These factors include: drinking water consumption, soil ingestion, inhalation rates, dermal factors including skin area and soil adherence factors, consumption of fruits and vegetables, fish, meats, dairy products, homegrown foods, breast milk intake, human activity factors, consumer product use, and residential characteristics.

Child-Specific Exposure Factors Handbook
The Child-specific Exposure Factors Handbook 2006 provides a summary of the available and up-to-date statistical data on various factors assessing child exposures. These factors include drinking water consumption, soil ingestion, inhalation rates, dermal factors including skin area and soil adherence factors, consumption of fruits and vegetables, fish, meats, dairy products, homegrown foods, breast milk, activity patterns, body weight, consumer products and life expectancy.

Benchmark Dose Software
Benchmark Dose Software (BMDS) is a tool developed to facilitate the application of benchmark dose (BMD) methods to EPA hazardous pollutant risk assessments. EPA uses BMD methods to estimate reference doses (RfDs) and reference concentrations (RfCs), which are used along with other scientific information to set standards for noncancer human health effects.

Guidelines for Carcinogen Risk Assessment
The revised Guidelines for Carcinogen Risk Assessment 2005 provide a framework for assessing possible cancer risks from exposures to pollutants or other agents in the environment. Revisions to the Cancer Guidelines are intended to make greater use of the increasing scientific understanding of processes of cancer development.

Report on Reference Dose and Reference Concentration Processes
The report, "A Review of the Reference Dose and Reference Concentration Processes," summarizes the review and deliberations of the Risk Assessment Forum's Reference Dose and Reference Concentration Technical Panel and its recommendations for improvements in the process of deriving reference values, including setting less than lifetime as well as chronic reference values. The document is a review, not guidance, and it evaluates the current state-of-the-art for hazard characterization with a focus on protection of potentially sensitive subpopulations.

Organophosphate Cumulative Risk Assessment
The organophosphate Cumulative Risk Assessment provides information about cumulative risk assessments of organophosphates and carbamate pesticides. EPA developed the risk assessment as part of an ongoing process for making pesticide reregistration eligibility and tolerance reassessment decisions.

Chromated Copper Arsenate (CCA) technical guidance
The Agency has worked with pesticide manufacturers to voluntarily phase out chromated copper arsenate (CCA) use for wood products around the home and in children's play areas. Effective December 31, 2003, no wood treater or manufacturer may treat wood with CCA for residential uses, with certain exceptions.
