October 15-19, 2008
Frankfurt, Germany
The Frankfurt Book Fair 2008, held on October 15-19, is the world's largest trade show for the publishing industry. With a history dating back 500 years, it is the world’s most important venue for publishers, agents, booksellers, librarians, translators, authors and suppliers dealing with publishing rights, licenses, and international property rights. In 2007, 7,738 exhibitors attracted more than 283,293 visitors. For further information on the Fair please visit www.book-fair.com/en/
The Fair is no longer just about books, with CD-ROMs, DVDs,
audiobooks, magazines and calendars now accounting for the bulk
of the selection on offer. The industry’s professionals use
the Fair as a post-entry training opportunity, to make or
cultivate important contacts and above all, to do good
business. The Frankfurt Book Fair is the most important
international trading center for rights and licenses.
