New Member Orientation

Welcome to the Intelligent Transportation Society of America! There are a few steps you can now take to get full advantage of your membership with ITS America. We would also like to show you how you can enhance your membership benefits at any time.

When your organization joined ITS America, it received an unlimited number of memberships at no extra cost. So, be sure you forward this online orientation, www.itsa.org/orientation.html, to any of your colleagues who would like to take advantage of these benefits.

Step 1. Put your log in information in a safe place.
Your username and member ID number will give you access to the member-only pages of our Web site.  Your member ID number can be used as your password.  It will also allow you to receive discounts on ITS America meetings, workshops and publications.

Step 2. Review your membership benefits and services.
As a member of ITS America, you have access to resources for business development, legislative advocacy, networking opportunities and the staff’s technical leadership. Review the Membership Benefits Brochure and explore our services to make sure you’re taking full advantage of your membership investment.

Step 3. Review your organization’s information.
You can look up your organization in the Membership Directory to see if everything is correct. The Membership Directory is also a great place to find potential customers or partners.

Step 4. Review your information.
You can view the information we have for you in My Membership and you can make changes at any time.

Step 5. Identify your organization as a member of ITS America.
You can add ITS America’s logo to your public Web site, Intranet and printed materials to show your membership with ITS America. This logo will show your customers and potential customers that your organization is part of a network working on ITS-based solutions to real-world transportation challenges.

Step 6. Subscribe to ITS America’s e-newsletters.
ITS America produces two e-newsletters for its members. The Weekly eBriefing features industry news and trends, meeting announcements, RFPs, career opportunities. This e-newsletter is distributed every Thursday. The Daily Government Relations Brief contains information on important congressional hearings, schedules, legislation, and news items dealing with key issues of the day.

Step 7. Sign up for one or more Forums.
There’s no better way to get connected within the ITS industry than through ITS America’s Forums. All members are welcome to participate in one or multiple Forums. With contemporary, relevant topics, industry leading projects, and special interest groups formed within Forums, you can identify the area that you want to connect to from a variety of eight choices:

Step 8. Get informed on ITS America events and industry meetings.
