RFP: Vehicle Assistance and Automation (VAA) System Project
 
The San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) is soliciting proposals from qualified firms for professional services to design, develop, test, install and deploy a VAA system.

RFP: Urban Partnership Agreement (UPA) Transit Technologies: Traffic Signal Priority System
Metro Transit, a division of the Metropolitan Council, is seeking the services of a qualified firm for the Urban Partnership Agreement (UPA) Transit Technologies: Traffic Signal Priority System. The project includes professional design services, software and hardware integration and installation services.
 
The RFP will be issued October 22, 2008
 
A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday, October 31, 2008 at the Metro Transit Control Center located at 519 Tenth Avenue North, Minneapolis, Minnesota 55411. Proposers are encouraged to attend and participate in the Pre-Proposal Conference.
 
Proposals are due by 2:00 p.m. on November 14, 2008.

RFP: Establishing Monitoring Programs for Travel Time Reliability
Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP 2), created by Congress, is a targeted, short-term research program carried out through competitively awarded contracts to qualified researchers in the academic, private, and public sectors. SHRP 2 is now accepting proposals for the SHRP 2’s Establishing Monitoring Programs for Travel Time Reliability project. The goal of this project is to develop system designs for programs to monitor travel time reliability and to prepare a guidebook that practitioners and others can use to design, build, operate, and maintain such systems.

RFP: Incorporating Reliability Performance Measures in Planning and Operations Modeling
TRB’s Strategic Highway Research Program 2 (SHRP 2) is also seeking proposals for its Incorporating Reliability Performance Measures in Operations and Planning Modeling Tools project. The goals of this project are to (1) develop the capability of producing measures of reliability performance as output in traffic simulation models and planning models, and (2) determine how travel demand forecasting models can use reliability measures to produce revised estimates of travel patterns.
