International Programs

International relations are crucial as national and international ITS standards and architectures continue to be decided and adopted worldwide. In an effort to positively influence decisions that will affect both the harmonious implementation of ITS as well as the direction of future ITS deployment purchases, ITS America promotes international cooperation and collaboration on ITS research, development and deployment. These objectives are attained through strategic relationships with international government bodies, ITS associations and research institutions, and important private-sector organizations.

International Business Development is also a key objective of international relations. We seek out new deployments and champion ITS America member capabilities during all our activities, as well as foster personal contacts—a pre-requisite to business relations in many emerging ITS markets, including Latin American, Asia, and the Middle East.

The full extent of ITS America’s International Business Development Program includes:

  • Business and trade promotion missions
  • Pavilions at ITS exhibitions
  • Development of ITS-specific guidebooks
  • International ITS seminars & Education programs
  • Personalized matchmaking services
  • Multilateral bank/government procurement notice alerts
  • Export and business counseling
  • International Fellows Program
