CAMBODIA - *Passport and visa required. Visa requires 1 visa application, 1 current passport sized photo, passport with minimum validity of 3 months, $20 consular fee for tourist visa; $25 for business visa. Enclose SASE for return of your passport. Tourist visa valid 3 months from issue date; good for single entry duration of 30 days. Tourist visa may be extended for maximum period of 1 month. CAMEROON - *Passport and visa required. Obtain visa before arrival. Visa requires passport with minimum validity of six months, two application forms and two passport-sized photos. Yellow fever and cholera immunizations are required. Onward/return tickets, and proof of sufficient funds also required. For business visa, verification letter from company required. Visa fee $98 for up to 90 days, $196 for up to 6 months, and $294 for up to one year. CANADA - Passport or proof of U.S. citizenship such as a birth certificate, naturalization certificate, and photo ID required. Minors (under 16) traveling alone or in someone else’s custody must present written authorization, signed before a notary, from the parent(s) or guardian. Visas are not required. Canadian immigration officials at ports of entry will issue persons planning to stay longer than 180 days a visitor’s record. Anyone with a criminal record (including a DWI charge) should contact the Canadian Embassy or nearest Consulate General before travel. U.S. citizens entering Canada from a third country must have a valid passport. HIV testing required for resident applicants who are over 15. A temporary resident applicant requires immigration medical examination if stay exceeds 6 months or seeking to work in Canada. CAPE VERDE - *Passport and visa required. Visa requires 1 completed application form, passport (minimum validity of6 months) and 1 passport sized photo. Visa fee is $20 for single-entry visa or $40 for multiple-entry visa. CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC - *Passport and visa required. Multiple entry visas require 2 application forms, valid passport, two recent photos, letter of confirmation from employer, $150 fee, and onward/return ticket. Yellow fever immunization required. Medical report, including HIV test, required for study, residency, and work permits: U.S. test accepted. If applying by mail, enclose SASE for the return of your passport. CHAD - *Passport and visa required. Visa requires 3 application forms, 3 photos, letter from employer (business visa), and onward/return ticket (tourist visa). You must clearly indicate your date of departure from the U.S. to Chad. Visitors must check in with the National Police and obtain a registration stamp within 72 hours of arrival. Visa fee is $100 for 1 month; $150 for 3-month multiple entry; and $200 for 6-month multiple entry. Fees payable by money order to the Embassy of Chad. CHILE - *Passport required. Visa not required for stay of up to 90 days. Entry fee of $100 (U.S.) charged at airport. For longer stays, visa requires passport (valid for term of visa), certificate of good health, police certificate, proof of sufficient funds, and 4 recent passport sized photos. Visa fee (student/ temporary resident/work) is $100; Business and student visas valid 1 year and are renewable in Chile. Student visa requires enrollment certificate. Work visa requires contract approved by the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and letter of previous employers. Work visa valid 2 years and is renewable in Chile. Exit Requirement: Dependent children under age 18 (including the children of divorced parents) who are traveling alone, with one parent, or in someone else’s custody, must present a notarized document certifying that both parents agree to their travel before the child will be allowed to exit Chile. This document must be notarized before a Chilean consular officer in the United States. CHINA, PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF - *Passport and visa required. Due to tightened visa policy, travelers may be required to undergo a personal interview. Transit visa required for any stop (even if you do not exit the plane or train) in China. Business travelers are required to obtain formal invitation from their Chinese business contact. Tourist visas are issued only after receipt of a confirmation letter from a Chinese tour agency or letter of invitation from a relative in China. Single-entry visa requires $50 processing fee, double-entry visa fee $75 (no personal checks). A multiple-entry visa requires $100 for a 6-month visa, and $150 for a 12-24 month visa. 1 tourist visa application form, and 1 photo required. Allow at least 4 business days for processing. Visa valid 90 days from date of issue. If applicant is HIV positive, entry not permitted for any purpose. COLOMBIA - *Passport and proof of onward/return ticket required for tourist stay of up to 180 days. Upon arrival the Colombian Immigration authority stamps a stay authorization, normally no longer than 90 days (extendible up to 180 days). Minors (under 18) who are traveling alone, with one parent, or with a third party, must present a copy of their birth certificate and written authorization from the absent parent(s) or legal guardian, specifically granting permission to travel accordingly. This document must be notarized before a Colombian consular officer in the United States. Visa must be obtained before arrival for persons planning to do business, temporary work (consultant), and study. Student, tourist, and visitor visa fee not required for U.S citizens; authorization for stay is stamped upon arrival by Colombian Immigration Authority and free of charge. Likewise, student visa is also free for U.S. citizens. Work visa fee is $205. Processing time ranges from 48 hours to 2 weeks. COMOROS ISLANDS - *Passport and onward/return ticket required. All travelers to Comoros are given a free, 24-hour transit visa upon entry. The following day, visitors are required to go to the immigration office in Moroni to change their visa status. A fee is charged, depending on length of stay. CONGO, DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE (Kinshasa) - *Passport and visa required. Evidence of yellow fever vaccination required for entry. Visas should be obtained from an Embassy of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Congo-Kinshasa) prior to arrival. COSTA RICA - *Passport and onward/return ticket required. For stays exceeding 90 days, apply for an extension within the first week of visit with the Costa Rican Immigration Department and, after 90 days, obtain an exit visa. COTE D'IVOIRE (Ivory Coast) - *Passport required. U.S. citizens traveling to Côte D’Ivóire for business or tourism do not require visas for stays of up to 90 days. For longer stays, you may enter without a visa, but then must apply for an extension (“visa de sejour” or “carte de sejour”) within 90 days of arrival. “Visa de sejour” or “carte de sejour” are not issued to children under the age of 16; they are covered under their parents’. An international health certificate showing current yellow fever immunization is required for entry into Côte D’Ivóire. Without it, the traveler may have to be vaccinated at the airport health office before clearing immigration, costing about $10 at this time. CROATIA - *Passport required. Visa not required for tourist/ business stay up to 90 days. For stays over 3 months, a visa is required and should be obtained in advance.
