The U.S. Trade and Development Agency is an independent
U.S. Government Agency that promotes economic development while
helping the U.S. private sector get involved in projects that
offer significant U.S. export opportunities. USTDA
investments in Latin America and the Caribbean have produced over
$5.5B in U.S. exports associated with the implementation of more
than 130 projects. During fiscal year 2005, USTDA provided
a total of $10.9M grant funding to support more than 55 new
projects in the region.
