New Jersey Secretary of State Nina Mitchell Wells reminds registered voters to check the location of their polling place prior to Election Day, November 4.  Registered voters can find their polling place location from their sample ballot, by contacting their County Board of Elections prior to Election Day or on the state Division of Elections website at www.njelections.org

“The high amount of interest in this Presidential Election has resulted in a record number of new voter registrations in New Jersey.  It is important that voters locate the address of their polling place prior to setting out to vote on Election Day,” said Secretary of State Wells.

Sample ballots are being mailed by county officials to all registered voters and include, among other important election information, the voter’s polling place location.

In addition, a voter can also locate the address of their polling place by contacting their County Board of Elections. The Board of Elections in each county designates the polling place location for each of the county’s registered voters. Telephone and address information for all 21 county boards in New Jersey is also available on the Division of Elections website.

Registered voters can also locate the address of their polling place by visiting the Division of Election’s website (www.njelections.org) or by contacting the division at (609) 292-3760.

Polling places in New Jersey will be open from 6 am to 8 pm on November 4.  The New Jersey Division of Elections anticipates a record number of New Jerseyans will turn out to the polls, and recommends voters visit polling places during off-peak hours between 10 am and 3 pm when the lines are expected to be shorter.  Any voter in line by 8 pm will be given the opportunity to vote.
