Tribes have a variety of regulatory tools and programs available to them as they work to protect their tribal air quality resources. To help tribes, EPA's Office of Air and Radiation (OAR) is working to provide technical assistance and program support to build tribal capacity. In addition, OAR is working to develop federally based programs to enable EPA to address air quality problems in Indian Country in cases where a tribe may be unable to do so themselves.

A QA Strategy Workgroup has been working with OAQPS over the last 4 years to revise this document. It went through one review period from March through May, 08. It has been revised based on comments received in that period.
