Remembering Our Fallen Agents

Criminal Investigations

EPA honors three Special Agents, who gave their lives carrying out their duties to protect the environment. These agents were members of EPA's Office of Criminal Enforcement, Forensics and Training's, Criminal Investigation Division. President John F. Kennedy signed a Presidential Proclamation in 1962, that set aside May 15 as National Peace Officers' Memorial Day, and the week in which it falls as National Police Week.

These three exceptional individuals made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our nations land, water and air; and her people from those who would violate the law.
