Marine Equipment Trade Show

METS 2008, the world's largest trade exhibition of marine equipment and accessories for the leisure marine and small commercial craft sector, will take place from November 18-20, 2008 at the RAI in Amsterdam. The show, which will feature more than 130 U.S. exhibitors this year, has been given the Trade Fair Certification status by the U.S. Department of Commerce. Many of the U.S. exhibitors will have their booth in the U.S. pavilion of the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) of Chicago.

Frankfurt Book Fair

The Frankfurt book fair is not just about books and merchandise, but also seeks to serve cultural interchange across national borders. Along with special emphasis on education, many other key focuses find their place in the Frankfurt Book Fair's programme, such as fiction, audiobooks and translation. In 2007, the show attracted 7,738 exhibitors and 283,293 visitors; the United States represented approximately 10 percent of the exhibitors. This year, already 30 U.S. companies expressed their interest in various European markets, including Croatia. Their list can be found here. In addition, the show will feature educational publishers looking for partners in other countries.
