ICRW Celebrates Life, Accomplishments of Senior Fellow, Sally Yudelman
Sally Yudelman, a distinguished women’s rights scholar, lifelong advocate for women’s economic advancement and senior ICRW fellow, passed away Oct. 24 after a protracted battle with brain cancer.

AIDS Fight Needs Focus on Prevention, Women
ICRW researchers participating at this year’s XVII International AIDS Conference in Mexico City emphasized that it is time to shift from an emergency response in fighting HIV and AIDS, to longer-term prevention efforts, particularly among women and girls.

The article - written by ICRW - focuses on the need for maternal health to be viewed as an important factor in international development.
Revised Stigma Toolkit Now Available
ICRW, the Academy for Educational Development and the International HIV/AIDS Alliance released a revised stigma reduction toolkit to help fight HIV- and AIDS-related stigma.
The toolkit is used to facilitate discussion about the rights of positive persons and issues around gender, sexuality and morality.
Women Can Help End Hunger
The recent financial crisis has hit an already insecure global food and agriculture system with devastating force. Food prices and hunger rates continue to rise amid increasing demand and shrinking supplies.
On World Food Day, Oct. 16, world leaders and key stakeholders will meet to consider the best actions to take to help alleviate the unfolding crisis. More than four decades of international development work at ICRW shows that one of the best ways to invest in agriculture and increase food production is to focus on women’s role in agriculture, both as farmers and entrepreneurs.
